A broken species barrier

A broken species barrier

Just something i have picked up on..

For many years humans have strongly argued that we are indeed a more supiror species and alot more intellegent than the others who walk are planet. They base this very simply on the fact that we have destroyed other species with an un-natural ease and have progressed in a way to make our lives much easier to live. But saying this, we are not much more unhealthy than we used to be nad have a lower life exxpantacy which makes you wonder if we where ever realy going in teh right direction at all.

We claim severe difference to those other animals but, on a closer inspection we are more than alike to them. Lets take something as simple as our descrimination within our own species, and despite it beign an unwanted mind set we are alone not the only ones that do it. The whole i hate one thing because of a bad exprience that occured with one specific item related. My friends dog bumped into a rottwiller that had been attacked by a staff and due to the experience of the attack has forever since attacked all staffs due to this occurance, surely this is much alike a humans reaction if an animal attacks a human we become tentivly fearful of that creature despite them not all being the same and assume that we will be hurt by them.

I also have a whole to pick in the we are the only species with an intellectual langauge to which we all understand. Surely thats a stab in the dark animals communicate with each other all teh time, and just because we do not understand them in no way means it is not an intellectual way of communication by which we may possibly not even be intellegent enough to understand.

Well, first off, I would like to say that dolphins not only have larger brains than humans but they also have a more complicated universal language than homo sapiens. Humans have failed to develop a universal language but have many, less complicated, languages. My dog knows about fifty words of English. I do not know one bark of dog. lol A good story but you need to run it through spellcheck as I ran across quite a few misspelled words. But an interesting thought challenge nonetheless and a good observation.

Although the later parts of this piece seem to be rather amusing, there are a few thought-provoking observations before then. Having said that, I don't share your conviction that animals are quite to intelligent. Even so, domestic animals do seem to have a genuine need for human affection. It is well known, that dogs demonstrate loyalty to their owners, for example.

Even when creatures do commuicate, it is only for essential needs. They have no real culture, or desire to learn about life for sheer interest. And of course, they don't plan for the long-term. Certainly not far ahead, like people tend to do. Anyway, it was a pleasure to read! It also goes to show, just how a relatively banal conversation can inspire us to talk about more interesting issues, on occasion!

Who will be next, to add some writing to my Group, "Twilight's Disciple's"? Thanks again, Cappi!

I thought that this was a great story! It's kind of funny- the way that we humans think that we're the greatest, and most powerful species. Lol! I agree with you- on the animals and humans having a lot more in common than the bone structure and things. Animals can have the same reaction towards things just as humans do.

I thought that your story was great! It was well written, very detailed, and descriptive! I really enjoyed reading this!
