I am the king of my own kingdom

I am the king of my own kingdom

A Poem by Ama May Cooper

I am the king of my own kingdom,
The ruler of my intimate creations,
The weaver of the fabricated universe before me.

The fairytale in my head vivid and real,
Crafted from the very same elements within me,
woven tirelessly from the same terrifyingly identical pattern.

I am a fairytale just a whimper in the wind,
Endlessly serenading sweet mumbles in your ear,
Dancing within the shadowy corners of your mind.

I exist because I believe I exist
Fading from view in a moments doubt
Reanimating the matrix in the blink of an eye

The world is an open book,
A universal language of  equations,
Patterned on top of one another in infinite replication

Written across the sky spans the code to reality,
Singing me to sleep these unheard voices of the night,
Carried to the homelands while the world slumbers.

I am an error in the code,
A seeing eye into the unseen,
Tapping into the web of the entire universe.

I am departing from this physical realm,
Willingly fluttering through multi-conciousness,
Shedding these constrictive mortal
limitations,

I am within my own kingdom
Each element merely another pawn
A temporary playground in preparation for home.

To me, this poem is what a writer is in their essence. We exist in our reality but our mind always has one foot across an unseen threshold that lead to a world full of magic, mystery, and suspense. Such a great poem!
