Sinful AllianceA Poem by Ama May Cooper
Condemned for words I never spoke
A thousand apologies for acts I did not commit Putting out the forest fires Of one who walks within me Cursed by her careless abandon Her heartless tendrils melding wounds Destroying lands before my eyes begin to see them Using my form as a vessel for her twisted pleasure Must I be forever making up for the unknown Living to repent for the sins of my shadow Tracing delicate dreams To have them shattered from within Possessed all most by a lingering friend Long since over stayed there welcome Crimes committed, falsely identified with my name Bonded eternally till death do us part Unable to control the acts of a demon Left to wonder loose Pulling on my puppet strings The grand master over my own entity Lacerated by the hatred she creates Her mind hidden far beneath my conscious thought Powerless to prevent, Blind to her cruelty Drenched in an aftermath of another's guilt Bred together through mental infliction An illness taking form a personality A living phantom Lurking within a segmented mind
