Jester

Jester

A Poem by Ama May Cooper

Resident fluff ball
With your long slender tail
Meowing pitifully at our ankles
We've grown rather fond of you
welcomed you as a member of the family
and you have done us the same
Bounding through the window
little paws all scrabbling
to scurry into bed
Hunting moths
making daddy proud
while i bury my head
The pitter patter of little white paws
sneaking down the hallway
creeping round the doorways
Our little jester
our little black and white blur
chilling on the bed while i flea comb his hair.
