Decayed Rose Petals

Like a withered rose 

She rots and crumbles

decomposed memories

neglected to shattered whipsers

Her fingers lay amongst the petals 

caressed by nature alone

strewn across the blankets 

untarnished by affections

no grave violence had occured

merely melted away 

shivering alone in a locked room

clutching her lively boque

The title alone brings up a sadness in losing something so beautiful. This speaks to about loss, about feeling weary and not receiving the tenderness, and/or affection that we all need so much. Your words "merely melted away
shivering alone in a locked room" make me think of times I have cried and felt so alone, as if my heart was indeed melting, just stuck to that place, going away all at once right there, still holding, clutching my hopes of what could have been. Beautiful.
