![]() The Heavy DawnA Poem by Mirabela-Denisa Căpîlna![]() A challenge to face the wounds we hide, to name the sorrow, and to acknowledge the struggle without forcing light too soon.![]() We've talked of joy, a fleeting spark, Now face the truth, the endless dark. The hurts you hide, the tears you fight, I challenge you, to bring to light. Don't turn aside, don't hold it in, The crushing weight, of what has been. The broken bonds, the dreams undone, The battles lost, before begun. Remember them. When did the morning, feel too much? The heavy dawn, a dreaded touch? When did your bed, become a tomb? And shadows filled, your every room? What loss cut deep, a gaping wound? A friend, a lover, taken too soon? A soul connection, ripped apart, Leaving a hole, within your heart? Name the absence. What words were hurled, like poisoned darts? That pierced your soul, and tore apart, Your self-belief, your sense of worth, And left you broken, on this earth? Remember the sting. When did you feel, completely lost? No guiding star, whatever the cost? Adrift at sea, without a sail, Consumed by darkness, doomed to fail? Feel the despair. I challenge you, to go there now, To furrowed brow, and whispered vow, Of silence kept, of pain concealed, The wounds that time, has never healed. Acknowledge them. Don't seek a light, don't force a smile, Just be with darkness, for a while. The heavy heart, the tear-filled eye, The moments when, you wished to die. They are a part of you. What made the dawn, a heavy dread? What filled with sorrow, your weary head? Who broke your spirit? What cruel hand? Left you alone, in this cold land? Think of the loss, that cut so deep, The promises, you couldn't keep. The bullying words, the feeling small, The watching loved ones, fade and fall. Remember the weight, the crushing blow, The feeling helpless, watching them go. Or feeling small, and stepped upon. The feeling all your strength, was gone. The utter bleakness. I can't take away, the pain you've known, Or make you feel, you're not alone, With easy words, or simple phrase. Life's darkest moments, have their ways. Of lingering on. But know this truth, amidst the pain, Life's not just darkness, loss, and rain. There are other pieces, scattered wide, That can be found, and brought inside. To mend the cracks. I can't give comfort, quick and light, But I can see, your inner fight. Face the darkness, name the sting, What brought you lowest? What did life bring? What broke your heart? What shattered you? Know that in facing, this raw truth, A strength remains. A different start. I'm here to listen. Share your heart. If you choose to.
