Unnoticed, unappreciated, lost,

Unless we pause, whatever the cost.

To truly see.

Think of the sunlight, through the trees,

A dappled pattern, on the breeze.

The scent of rain, on thirsty ground,

A symphony of subtle sound.

Did you inhale it?

The unexpected, friendly face,

A moment's kindness, in this place.

A helping hand, a listening ear,

That banishes all doubt, all fear.

Did you accept it?

The vibrant hues, of blooming things,

The fragile beauty, nature brings.

A single flower, reaching high,

A silent thank you, to the sky.

A butterfly.

The chirping birds, their morning call,

The rustling leaves, before they fall.

The gentle hum, of buzzing bees,

The quiet whispers, of the trees.

Did you listen close?

A warm embrace, a loving squeeze,

The simple comfort, meant to appease.

A whispered word, "I'm here for you,"

That makes your heart, feel strong and new.

Did you truly feel it?

The first sip of morning's brew,

A quiet moment, just for you.

The softness of, a cozy chair,

Small pockets of peace, beyond compare.

Did you surrender?

These tiny sparks, throughout the day,

Can chase the darkest clouds away.

If we but choose, to open wide,

Our hearts and minds, and step inside.

The present moment.

Don't let them pass, unnoticed, lost,

These precious gifts, whatever the cost.

For happiness is built on these,

Small moments of joy, and inner peace.

The world is filled with hidden light,

In every corner, dark or bright.

So open up your soul, and see,

The boundless joy, that waits for thee.

It's everywhere.

A child's laugh. The moon above.

A purring cat. A whispered, "love".
