![]() The Missing PieceA Poem by Mirabela-Denisa Căpîlna![]() The Missing Piece explores a deep, unshakable longing for something unknown (torn between faith, past lives, and a search for identity). A soulful reflection on feeling incomplete.![]() Twelve years old, a hollow space, Opened inside, a missing grace. A yearning deep, a sense unknown, As if my soul, was not my own. It lingers still, this empty part, A constant ache, within my heart. A feeling lost, a missing key, To who I am, and who I'll be. An ancient place, I seem to know, Where whispers soft, and rivers flow. A memory faint, a distant shore, That calls to me, forevermore. I'm Christian born, and taught to pray, To trust in God, and walk His way. But something stirs, beneath the creed, A different longing, a different need. If I were Buddhist, I might say, This isn't my first life's display. That countless times, I've lived and died, And this deep knowing, can't be hide. Perhaps this ache, this empty space, Is karma's echo, time and space. A remnant of, a former life, A memory sharp, as any knife. But faith holds firm, to what is taught, One life, one soul, divinely bought. So, I am torn, between the two, The known belief, the feeling true. This hollow space, it stays with me, A constant, silent mystery. A missing piece, I can't define, A longing for, a place, a time... That isn't here. And though I search, and though I pray, The ancient whisper, won't away. A part of me, forever yearns, For something lost, that fiercely burns. A distant home. A forgotten me. A soul's unrest, eternally.
