A Poem by she who must not be named

The pines in the woods

The needles that stay true green

The trunks brown and wide

The gentle morning

The birds song that wakes the world

The sunrise shines bright

The breeze on my face

The wind that pushes the clouds

The air that I breathe

The calm blue ocean

The waves that lap the seashore

The water that shines

The colours, so bright

The hues that bring life to us

The shades that we see

Yes, I am thankful

For these wonders in my life

So should you, give thanks

GD!

P.S.
This is very similar to the story, The Witch and her Hopping Pot, from 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard' by JK Rowling.

This is really beautiful! The scenery is so vivid, I could almost smell the pine trees and feel the cool mist of the ocean air! I really enjoyed this. You are very gifted. Thanks for sharing! :-)

This is so very well done, and the imagery is awesome! Great job on the Haiku string. Aren't they just too fun to write?
