Neurotic Love

Neurotic Love

A Poem by Jack Dawkins

Should I stay or should I Go.
So many complex emotions
layer upon layer, reactive
To the slightest nuance or
Benign word well intended.
She tries in earnest, still
Will love not fade away, away
From the burden day by day.

We ladies are all emotions. You fellows are rational, reasonable and realistic. We complete one each other, feed each other, need each other. Understand each other? Speak the same language? Misinterpret. Nobody's perfect. So, it becomes a question of extremes. Who will overcome, insanity or love? A struggle for two souls. I wonder where they are now.

You obviously know this subject well. Can we understand it? I certainly can't. An outstanding poem, Jack.
