Mess Like You

Mess Like You

A Poem by nevershoutnever.

All those feelings
the ones of love
of hate
of jealousy
came flowing back last night,
just reliving that other
horrifying night,
but in a different way.
You weren't with her.
She wasn't even there.
My heart felt the same.
Alone
and devastated without you
there
by my side.
I think back
to that night before
and remember,
I hate to remember,
all my pain
from you
and then I think
of your face last night
and treasure your laugh,
your eyes,
your tease,
you.
Everything comes back.
My ache.
My agony.
My hate for remembering.
My tears.
I can't help myself
only you
can help me out of this.
What am I even
supposed to do
with a mess like you?
