Spreading My Wings

Spreading My Wings

A Poem by nevershoutnever.

I run
until I can't
run away anymore.
I fall
until I learn how
to spread my wings again.
I die
a little more
each time I see you
with her
holding her close,
it won't last.
kissing her fingertips,
forgetting our past.
He used to be
the person of my dreams,
now
he is just the demon
of my nightmares.
Who would've thought
that when you left
the right
would become
the wrong thing?
