In What Was

In What Was

A Poem by nevershoutnever.

"
What am
supposed to do now?
Forgiveness is out
of the question,
so don't even start.
Why am I even upset?
We were nothing,
I thought we could have been,
but
that was only a freaking dream.
Thank you for bringing me down,
back down to reality.
My heart is aching,
aching without a stop.
My heartrate
keeps on dropping,
not soon enough.
Feel
my pain now,
let me be.
Watch me
slowly die here,
without a retreat.
Moving is no use,
not even going to try.
Breathing is so tough,
especially when you want to give up.
Hands shake as I write this,
too many mistakes.
I can't go back
and even erase.
Our love is now done,
engraved in what was.
