Who I Am

Who I Am

A Poem by nevershoutnever.
"

You think you know me? Look again.

"
This is real.
I am me.
I'm exactly who I'm supposed to be.
Who am I,
you can't tell me.
We're worlds apart,
once so close.
Then the doors were shut
and we were locked in.
So, listen up
hear me out,
you think you know me,
but
so much has changed.
Who am I,
you won't tell me.
I'm exactly who I'm supposed to be.
I am me.
This is real.

Wow! Excellent usage making your emotions comfy with your words! Beautiful piece i could imagine the wrath in the tongue of the character as she shouted

Who am I,
you won't tell me.
I'm exactly who I'm supposed to be.
I am me.
This is real.

The repetition really helped to get the message across.....pure genius the way you sneaked some imagery in their too. This is so true, and I can totally relate. There are times when people just feel like they are overwhelmed by others, telling them what to wear, how to change, how to be that popular girl/boy everyone wants to be......this poem encourages you to stay true to yourself, and to never let anyone tell you what to do. Well Done.
