Truth

And I

think of you

whenever you're not around.

Start to listen closely

to every sound.

Memorizing

each one I can as fast

so I can make them last.

I thought we would 

be forever, just you and me.

They all said,

how it wouldn't last,

how it's not meant to be.

I argued with them,

for you,

for me.

Storming away,

I knew they were

telling the truth.

Even though,

it hurts,

thats true.

Yes, the truth can hurt.....and we never want to believe it for that reason. This poem is so true, I love reading it especially since it is tied in with love and being with the right or wrong person. Your rhyming is amazing.....it seems like you do it so easily. It adds to the effect of the words which make it completely worth reading. Well Done.
