You, Me, and the Wolves.

You, Me, and the Wolves.

A Poem by Candylove.

I wrote your body down like it was my favorite song. My dress beckoned to your hands, as your shirt fell to the floor. Curious minds do not rest in places like this. Times when darkness seeps through your pores, I knew what I was getting in to; the bed, to the floorboards we go. Delve deep inside the stars and just wait for the wolves to come out tonight.

Restrained by strong arms, and cryptic beauty; you are a reptilian form of touch, with that forked tongue your voice was honey in the base of my throat. Skin leveled sand to satin, you never knew grace existed until you held it in your arms.

My mind falls short of you now that I don't have you like i use to.

Darling, I never wanted anything but you and midnight soul. Now, I'm coming clean and washing you off my heart, and off of my thoughts. I was a pawn in your game of lust, and you became a subject for me to tear apart. This is a call to arms, so bring on the wolves.

Your charm is incased by fear. You wouldn't know sincerity if it came up and kissed you like fire. Dig in your heels, and stand your ground, but I won't defend a liar.

I don't want to forget your taste.

I don't want to forget your face.

I don't want to forget… you.

You've left me no choice but to set this off because your heat is gone, and your mind is lost.

You don't know what you had in the palm of your hands.

I guess that's what i get for wearing my heart on my sleeve.

Let me put your body back into motion.

We were so close, love; but you know that i can do better than your selfish lips.

I can still feel you in my bones, this is my call to arms, so bring on the wolves.

This message might be the poster child for ambivalence. It's a little disruptive to have your sentiments going one way, then veering off in the opposite direction. Trying to find a direction, but none has been settled on. Even tho this doesn't feel like a smooth read to me, it's also reflective of how disruptive some loves, some attractions, can be. I prefer the parts where you're using the "wolf" motif & it seems a little off-message to bring in the reptilian reference in stanza 2. All in all, a fresh & original-sounding message.

I...absolutely...love...this...line... (I was trying to emphasize it; let me know if it gets across).

The entire poem is one I can appreciate, one that is so true that all who read it should understand (well, that's excepting the ones who were the cause for the summoning of the wolves). I loved the imagery and the wording in this. The flow was unimpeded; as Phalen Schuyler said, it was biting. You very nearly made me want to call my own wolves to war against those who refused to see the treasure I so wanted to give to them. It is what it is. Very well written, very well said, and a pleasure to read. This is going into my favorites.

Beautiful, biting.

this is the type of write that would bring the person on the receiving end of it to shame.
