Connection (the people we choose to call friends)

Connection (the people we choose to call friends)

A Poem by Candylove.

it's a simple kind of misery

only a slow, dull ache

like watching your lover

converse with a beautiful stranger

eyes lock

words are exchanged

and you know in that moment

they've crossed the threshold

of someone elses heart

and you're just standing there

motionless like

waiting for a train on a bustling city street

you watch the world

as it tears you apart

And in that moment you feel your heart shatter...

I think you've captured this moment perfectly and in few words. Written powerfully too.
Nice work

I love poems about friends. I made also a poem about friends. Maybe can you read them. But your poem is so beautiful. I love the rhyme and really nice flow.

Gorgeous I feel the love :). I like that your profile says "welcome to my world" my friend at work always says that and he also says "nice to see you today" every day :p

Painful! I hope this was not a personal experience. Great job expressing the misery.
