TimeA Poem by Cloud ComposerThe moon is growing old So we're farther than yesterday I fear the heightened sun Will bring light to our pace Onto our faces we dare not seek For longing will take us to withered leaves When this summer glow was bitterly untold And endless dreams rushed down the river stream Without consent Or telling footprints on the frozen band I regret Pooling unsalted smiles Atop the line of good byes Where our shadows began to split away "I'll remember you" in the sparkling sun But only when the night is young Enough to keep me from carving hearts Of hollow lovers peeled by carts That can only ship so much careful herbs To warn about the sun's returning burn © 2017 Cloud Composer |
