The Starry-Eyed Carousel

The Starry-Eyed Carousel

A Poem by Cloud Composer
"

Amusement parks are always fun, but you never know what can happen with anything.

"

The night in the middle blinded by fun lights,

And the carousel went around and around.

Happy thoughts still remain though happy laughter left there.

The music played and echoed into the emptiness

While stayed children of joy and bliss.

My starry-eyed boy, my starry-eyed boy, where do you play?

Children jumped and bounced around,

Those missing children from the town.

Their shoes tattered from great years

Of dancing, singing everywhere.

My starry-eyed boy I have left, what do you play?

The clown of big red smiles held balloons

And gathered the laughing boys and girls together.

They followed him to the tent,

That big round clown of smiles full of fun, they went

To the tent full of pleasant redness

That all people feared and avoided so.

The starry-eyed children, my starry-eyed boy,

You can disappear in red altogether.

End.
