If Truth be Told

If Truth be Told

A Poem by Jennifer Mccubbin

Contrary to your belief,

I don't care for your opinions,

in fact, they quite bore me.

Every time you start with,

"Well, I think..."

I kick myself in the a*s

and wonder what it is

about you-

what it is I like too much,

Why your cocky eyes catch

my wandering attention,

why butterflies die when their

wings touch human flesh,

and why the ones in my stomach

haven't.
