This Love of Mine

This Love of Mine

A Poem by C J Brown
"

Sonnet

"

Time does not alter the memory of love,

nor spoken words left breathless by a glance,

nor summer dreams that drift a midst the breeze

and dance upon the shadow of romance.

Tis sweet, the thought of passions paradise,

renewed within the memory of the hour,

while gazing at the starlight in your eyes,

glistening as the dew upon the flower.

Oh heart, enraptured by love's silhouette,

that took the form of thee when we first met,

and how the angels beckoned in your smile

I longer to linger sweetly for awhile.

I know no greater pleasure more divine,

than giving unto you this love of mine.
