Walls crumblingA Poem by BluntAbout two friends who had to face difficulties in friendshipswe cross roads again, this time i'm no longer the same. we made a promise right here, never to change. we both did. you ask me softly, you ask me once more, you have no control over your life anymore, i realise all these while you been putting on the front, refusing to show people the girl that is inside, you and me, we grew up together. We never let anyone into that circle of ours. The walls we built to keep others out. We sneered at others who try to break it but we both knew, that anyone who tries hard enough will realise just how fragile we really are, once they break through our shields we begun to rely on them as willingly as we had to each others, cause in our mind, that's how the world is, that's how people should be. no matter the changes, they still are friends. but as we grew, we get to know more things, the complicated world this is, the life we knew back then used to be so innocent, full of naive thoughts. Forever has just become another phase in time that will pass. But to the people, we smile. We, are all actors, The people we let in, we will never let them go even as they leave we will sit there, picking up the pieces, even as the pieces hurt us, as their sharp ends cause us to bleed, to have scars, we still pick them up. you tell me it hurts so much, and you can't even cry anymore i look back to you, wondering whether you can see me as vulnerable as i can see you. All it takes is just a push, and we will shatter. You ask me how to let go, i laughed bitterly and say, i think you ask the wrong girl, even now, i still thought of the guy who hurt me so badly that i wasn't the same person. But i held your hands and tell you this we will walk out together, hand in hand, stronger than before © 2010 Blunt |
