BlueA Poem by LoriTrying out free writing in 5 minutes for Journalism Club in school (:
blue is a color that speaks Volumes
from Serene seas to midnights the shades of blue, fit for every emotion It helps me delve into a person's notions the lightest blue is for every cloud nine moment where your head is just on the clouds feet lifted off the ground liars, they are, who ruin the fantasy they say it's impossible to live in the clouds we'll prove them wrong midnight blue, the darkest hue, tells the story of a crying girl in the balcony staring at the stars wishing for a blue moon opportunity that'll change her life we have the middle blue, where it's warm and happy content and peaceful like the calm before the storm because nothing is ever permanent one fleeting moment to the other you've got the blues then a smiling face what's your shade of blue i know you've got one too cause when I think of blue I picture a shining sea the light of the sun and the blue of the sky all coming together to form a magnificent picture but it's too innocent, that isn't reality so i see a raging storm and a ship so hopeless at the mercy of the waters there's an exhausted crew running around and trying to get the ship under control the passengers are panicking, thinking what could they do if it's the last day of their lives i hate to break it to you kid but that's reality we are fools of time, wasting it never stopping to think what to do with such a treasure it's gold! but our lives are at the mercy of the unknown the unpredictability doesn't quite alarm us enough to stop being an exhausted sailor trying to take control of the ship just let it flow, let the waters guide you home so you don't have to be a panicked passenger lost at sea who doesn't know what to do but worry stop and clear your head stare at the bright blue sly and maybe take a deep breath feel your pulse, there's so much to be thankful for though there's shades of blue you'll get through © 2014 Lori |
