For the Sake of Losses

For the Sake of Losses

A Poem by Candice Stanfield
"

This was written well before 2015. More like 2007 or 2008.

"
It would be best if you stabbed me in the back
That way our eyes wouldn't have to meet
You've crossed the line
Like a good friend, you opted for the chest

A modern day Judas
To my modern day whipping boy

Was it worth it to watch my eyes flash with gross dismay?
Reduced to another stripped tree in your forest of losses
I wonder who you'll toss in the bin next

You threw me out without even recycling our remains
Disregarding all others for your own mass consumption
You might as well pile me up and throw in a lit match
Rather than subject me to this vicious travesty

I truly feel sorry for you
For you will forever destroy what beauty is around you
