Noble Well, Part I

Noble Well, Part I

A Poem by Candice Stanfield
"

An attempt at writing a love poem for my significant other. I sense this poem may transform over time; hence, the title "Noble Well, Part I."

"

I fell deep down

Into a noble well

Eyes open, breath held

Oh I fell, I fell, I fell

Head over heels

Into the depths

Of that great below

Heart flooded with swell

Before t’was surface bound

Stuck in concepts

Sticky traps

Endless pauses, infinite ground

Let down your rope

Or a bucket to tow,

Away this gnawing

Let us tie our ends to tether

Our love does not bind

It nurtures, we grow
