When Everything is Gone.

This was wrote the same day the tornadoes came to North Carolina and destroyed everything around where i live. April 16th was a terrible day.

The place I love is now gone.
My home is safe, but the rest is not.
Houses are crushed, and trees are dead.
Hope is gone, and dreams have fled.
Life that I once knew is gone.
When all is gone, what do you have left?
 A smart person would say everything,
but being me,
I know it's nothing.

This is a beautiful poem, Candice! The tornado really was an awful thing to happen, and you did an amazingly poetic job at describing it! Good job!
