this is for my cousin who is now in England.

From home you were miles away

whoever invented airplanes favored you one day

so you purchased ticket for two way

thought that it would be the best holiday

 

excitement you were filled

every waking moment makes you thrilled

took sixteen hours of flight

departed at day arrived at night

 

you felt it was just yesterday

but you have been one year away

seeing old faces you missed for a while

and all those places it makes you smile

 

reunited with friends and family

you celebrated with them happily

knowing that it is just a holiday

how you wish you could stay

 

you'll be again leaving

it makes us all crying

better future awaits you there

keep in mind that we always care

 

just pray whenever you're sad

when you are troubled, talk to God

remember to smile always

helps you make brighter days

 

my presence with you will stay

even though you are far away

i'll always keep in touch

please know that i love you so much

I can tell English is not your most comfortable language, but it is commendable that you are developing it through poetry. Don't stop writing. You can only get better.
This was a wonderfully heartfelt piece. I connected easily because I said goodbye to one friend 2 weeks ago, and I said goodbye to another friend just this night. Seas divide us, but your words express the shared feeling, that we love them so much :)
