Forever Friends

I wrote this when i was in the library. I just thought of my friends. i love them! :)

We're great friends one must consider

enemy of trouble we encounter.

In this friendship we form,

we know we'll make it through any storm.

 

We fill each day with a smile

but tears fall down once in a while.

Happy as always we seem

but problems can sometimes be seen.

 

There are times we may be conflicting

but you know we'll be together fighting.

Whenever you get lost and astray,

oh friend i'm here to guide the way.

 

Together we double the laughter

and also make our burdens lighter.

Just turn around when everything's wrong

you'll see i got your back and make you strong.

 

Distance will soon make us part

but you'll always be here in my heart.

On this day i promise thee,

i'm your friend forever will be.

Not something I really relate to - but I am just a lonely cynic, really. I did like the poem however, and it's always nice to know there's that person there to both take care of and who will take care of you. Lovely write. Thanks for sharing. :)

Did you intentionally use sort of un-perfect rhymes there with "conflicting" and fighting", and "laughter" and lighter"?
