BETRAYEDA Poem by candaceflynnWords came out your mouth like flowers Every color, every kind; beautiful Each phrase, every line; perfect
You were like a garden full of pretty things All the colors and fragrance; enticing Like bees and butterflies; so alive
But just like a person so in love, I was blinded Like a beautiful show, it was practiced A face hidden within a mask
Then the smoke cleared
All the flowers, they were plastic A cactus touched hard enough to bleed Behind a mask, mischievous face revealed
Trust put into a two-faced man Care given to the wind Love thrown to space
Just like that, I was BETRAYED.
