My Daughter

My Daughter

A Poem by Camroc

Zia Meeks, my life line

the reason why I breathe

my inspiration to set goals with

the belief that I can achieve

like a beautiful flower

blossoming from the ground

I anticipate her birth

nervous, not making a sound

A birth so special

uncommon, sometimes rare

thanks to her mother

it's a day we'll both share

as her life begins

mine continues to grow

teaching her life lessons

deciding what she should know

protecting her from evil

and the dangers of the world

keeping her safe out of harm

sheltering my little girl

we conceived a special girl

from the love we once had

for that I will always love her

for making me the proudest dad

I can't wait till she gets older and sees what her daddy wrote for her.... you just inspired me to write something for Quintin:)
