Escaping RealityA Poem by *!!Cammie!!*Waist deep in slumber with glistening eyes, Her sorrow fades under erasing her cries,
As her mind creates pictures of bliss and delight, Of oceans so clear under star sprinkled nights,
She is twirling with wind as it speeds through the grass, Under sunshine so warm and a sky clear like glass,
As her mouth parts to shriek she feels warmth on her skin, And her smile makes everything perfect as she spins,
And this world is now hers and she spins once again, As she's turning around she finds peace and a friend,
He runs quickly and happy to see her for now, Running faster than his legs will even allow,
And their bodies collide full of thick hope and bliss, They exchange little whispers and one perfect kiss,
Now the world seems to stop and she cries out for more, But the image is frozen broken off by a snore,
She awakens to sorrow she screams in the sheets, With her face down again urging just one more dream,
But the darkness escapes her, she no longer sees, Her fairytale world where she escapes reality. © 2010 *!!Cammie!!*Reviews
