Welcome CinnamonA Story by *!!Cammie!!*The sweet aroma of apples and cinnamon flooded the room as the delicate red candle was blown out. The black wick bent over, as if to smell the scent for itself. The scent lingered under my nose for a long while, as I closed my eyes and took in the serene smell. There was never a better time than on Christmas to buy seasonal candles to warm your nose in the Winter. Warm sugar and vanilla, pumpkin spice, autumn apple, cherry pie, gingerbread, and best of all, spiced apple cinnamon. The smoke was like short wisps swimming through the air finding yet another nose to please. I've always wondered why the soft wax melts. Not because of the heat, but maybe the rich smell pulls it to the center striving to taste the cinnamon hidden within the crazed smoke. Soon, the smoke disappeared and all that remained was the gooey, shiny, red liquid circling the dark wick which was now bent over even moreso than before -seeming as if in sorrow due to the fact the scent had left the room on the quest to find a nasty odor to dispell. Goodbye amazing aroma...We'll miss you. © 2008 *!!Cammie!!* |
