Cruising

Cruising

A Poem by Camilo Flores
"

Society

"
Living as fugitives running through the land of opportunity
Where a race is prejudice against their own
The land of the mist filled with the lonely
Graveyard tombstones reading my eulogy
Dismissing those who preach but don’t set the example
Though no one is perfect but why so much emphasis
I’m not an extraterrestrial here to dismantle
Life cruising in a search upon myself
Dispersing the idea injected to society
Failure is set to the poor and those who engage in wealth
Those who swear to serve the people realistically serve to slave
Those who are eccentric are looked upon as crazy and don’t behave
No longer normal to this world we live in. No one will seize
Do comprehend the ones who are labeled don’t have a disease
Life cruising listening to my favorite song
Just because you don’t understand doesn't mean I’m wrong .
