The Beauty of the OceanA Poem by The Disconsolate Muse
The rolling and crashing of the waves
The mark of ages past from untold generations Through war and peace Trial and disease The ocean remained constant, an unchanging force Constant in the change Crashing against the shore To man, the ocean has always been strange It represents both beauty and rage Its regality is without error The cool breeze blowing in from the south The salty air upon one's face The beauty of the ocean can be achieved in no other place The white foam upon the sand The water going around where you stand The sun beating down upon you The seagulls in the air they fly through In the land, sky, or sea All creatures contribute to the ocean's plea: "Submit to me, and let us go hand in hand, for in the end, it is I who will stand." So while it lasts, and we are in this place Let us adore the ocean in all of its beauty and grace © 2017 The Disconsolate MuseReviews
