Slowly DyingA Poem by The Disconsolate MuseJust me being stupid and petty
I'm here for you,
Though you reject me time and again You say you're protecting me But all I feel is hurt When will you see you're worth something In this evil realm of dirt I care for you though you hate it I want you to see that you can make it You're treating it like a parasite, Letting it eat you from the inside out in the moonlight You reject those closest to you And pray they don't come near You want them to leave you alone As you tumble into despair You can't show how much you're hurting And hide it through helping You're a master of disguise And in allegiance with depressions rhapsodize Awaken from this nightmare and learn to see I am here for you, though you may not want me You think it's rude and annoying But this is untrue, as you spiral into a pit of failing Learn to see that you can call on me And I will be happy to help and set you free Come to see you're value and worth are great Despite living in a world full of such hate © 2016 The Disconsolate MuseFeatured Review
