Living in this World

Living in this World

A Poem by The Disconsolate Muse
"

A poem about how society is degrading and beats into us what is right and true, with it being anything but about you.

"
We live in a society defined by social ties and normality
With no regard of what is noble or true,
We overlook the talents of our fellow man
We seek for conformity
Not affirming the abnormality
We seek to bash
Without even the bat of an eyelash
For in society, it's not who we are that defines us
It's how others perceive us, which is actually just superfluous
So instead of conformity, we should focus on the abnormality
Ignoring the normality
Striving for finality
For when social ties and this crude system of self hate and deprivation are gone
One can truly live and not fear what the vice grip of society says, thus awakening in the dawn

The Disconsolate Muse
Definitely not the best in ever written... quite frankly I don't think it's that good, just thought that I'd share it
