Words

A Poem by Marina

There's much to say on the depth of words
and all that heartfelt lines may stir
Like how Hallelujah makes me cry,
when the words reach me deep down inside

But when you take words as Love and Home,
you can't compare and can't explain in words alone
They are feelings described in just four letters each,
of which we all feel what they mean

The shame, as well as the beauty, in this truth,
is that it can't mean more than was felt by you
Now I count myself lucky, count myself blessed,
That to me, they mean more now than they ever have.
