Make heads or tails of it

Make heads or tails of it

A Poem by Marina

My mood's just like a flipping coin
That I can't keep from changing
Sometimes I hold my head up high
Then my tail's between my legs again

As I withdraw, avoid and allow me to sink
I wish for a little bit of nothing
a little bit of nothing

Life balances like that same coin,
I can't keep it from tumbling
One moment a sweet smile paints my sky bright
The next someone else makes it rain again

As I profoundly push the world away
I wish for a little bit of nothing
just a little bit of nothing

Then as the coin lands in my favour
Along the swings of the swing, swing up high
Smiles and adrenaline dance inside me
Blessed by his imprints on my restless half

As I cling to the unknown for a better change,
I wish for a little bit of something
just a little bit of something

Then I reach out and clench the coin
In a firmly closed fist that trembles
There's got to be something more to see,
this can't be all that I can be

As I leap in, run wild, chase rabbits
I wish for a little bit of something strong
a little bit of something strong
