Choices

Choices

A Poem by Marina

to speak, to be silent
to erase, to write
to laugh, to cry
to love, to fight

to earn, to steal
to accuse, to trust
to smile, to sulk
to be righteous or unjust

to be angry, to be glad
to move, to be at rest
to be active, to be passive
to make no effort, to give your best

but to make choices has no antonym
and that is why at least
you can try to make the right ones
the beauty, or the beast

I loved this piece. The subtle rhyming scheme, that hides between the lines that list these meaningful opposites- its a well structured poem.
Great write :)
