Let us dream

Let us dream

A Poem by Marina

an often used methaphore
a leaf touching the surface
of a pond so very still
then in silence the wrinkles travel
a stream of water leaking
more broad, further, deeper into a river
the wind caries the wrinkles further
as the river streams  into the ocean
where the cumulative movement
of the wrinkles in the pond
flow into a wave of water
to then clash upon the shore

so many ponds
so many rivers
a million wrinkles
a hundred waves

fewer than most,
when reaching the shore,
carry dreams and inspiration

let us wrinkle the pond
each and every day
let it inspire us
more with every wave

let us dream
