”Why don't you share this knowledge, sir?”

“Because none would lend me an ear.”

“But certainly if you were to tell them, they would.”

“In order for me to, they would need to listen first.”

“Why would they not listen, sir?”

“Because one needs papers to speak.”

“Who would need papers to speak?”

“I suppose one doesn't need papers to speak, but they do to be heard.”

“That is ridiculous. Why not just get them then?”

“It would take me years to get them.”

“Years? Is there a waiting list?

“No, it simply takes years.”

“Why not just speak and see if you are heard?”

“Because though heard, none will actually listen.”

“I listen to you.”

“That is because I pay you to.”

“That aside sir, I would listen to you if you told me this.”

“Because we have spoken before and you became receptive because I paid you.”

“So are you saying none would listen unless you'd pay them?”

“None, unless I could beforehand prove that what I was about to say is right.”

“But that makes no sense, sir.”

“Certainly does not, but that is how the world works.”

“Does this mean that only if you were to obtain these papers years from now, you would be heard?”

“No, I would still have to prove myself well experienced in the matter I were to speak of.”

“And how does one do that?”

“By listening to others, doing as they do and proving that you have done so for years.”

“So to be able to improve what needs changing, one needs to accept the current situation for several years, to prove yourself known with the matter, before you are allowed to speak?”

“And that is why I remain silent.”

“That hardly improves the situation at all though, sir.”

“It won't be my concern.”

“How could you say that, when you so well know what needs to be done?”

“Because I will not devote years of my life to improve the hearing of those with perfect ears”

“I see, sir.”

“And that is why I pay you.”
