You know.

You know.

A Poem by Marina

I knew tears of loss and tears of frustration,
Tears of pain when intentionally hurt.
I've shed tears of confusion and tears out of anger,
And tears of wondering when it's my turn.

I've found happiness in small things,
I always have, I appreciate the things we can't buy.
But I've never before you, shed tears of happiness,
Or had this much difficulty with temporary goodbyes.

You've shown me the world I have lived in since birth,
Through completely different, brand new eyes.
You've shown me that love is much more than shows on the surface,
You've fueled a fire I did not know I held inside.

I'm driven, motivated, sometimes a restless mess.
And I'll pick apart all options I have.
But you've given me direction, you gave me reasons,
To make it a standard to be at my best.

You've taught me to be more understanding, by showing me yours,
And you gave more depth to caring.
You've unmistakenably brought new meaning to life,
And made love to always be on the edge of overwhelming.

I can't ever thank you enough for your love,
Words never seem to contain quite the meaning.
But we truly have redefined it all,
A love like home, that's ever appeasing.

Forever and always are words used with caution,
As I love you, and I promise my life.
You and your heart have made everything easy,
As it knows with what line that would rhyme.
