Mask

I write to express
And I write to set free
This darkness that hides inside
Deep within what I call me

Only my audience can see
What the world cannot
For they would not believe
That who I am is what I am not

I put on this mask to hide my face
For what I am deserves no voice
Inside forever it will remain
Despite its struggle to escape
