It Could Only Wait

It Could Only Wait

A Poem by Broken Soul
"

I guess the overall feeling meant to be shown is depression.

"
Tattered and worn was the soul
That fluttered in the wind
Insanity ate at an unwhole heart
That unwillingly beat within

Blank was the unwanted face
Where a grin was never spread
Happiness a rare occassion
Where smiles always soon met death

Seemingly meaningless was the life
That was dragged on nonetheless
Its flame to go on withered
As it was thrown many tests

Burnt out was the flame
That would never be reignited
For death the life waited
As it and happiness would never be reunited

Those who understand depression will truly connect with and appreciate the honesty, and raw emotion portrayed in this piece. You have done a wonderful job, Soul....I look forward to reading more.
