A Poem by callie...

this is the grave where jill wilts

this is the wall that jack built

this is the history that time quilts

and this is the lesson of love's guilt

resentment owed

mementoed

false bliss

tears flowed

bitters stowed

under a kiss

until wistful down

we've nothing left to dismiss

and this crown

to remember you're remiss

a thorny ring of amethysts

a reminder of wits

a rosemary that fits

film spliced into bits

a sorrow that still sits

cuz love,  you lose

forever paying your dues

while you're shuffling your shoes

lost in hazy grey hues

intensely ignoring the clues

while you angrily accuse

blame, you refuse

and still you wonder why this time that you use

is engulfed by and metered in bruises and blues

EXTRA!!EXTRA!!  here's no new news!

you, sadly,  have again let your pride choose...

I love everything about this the allusion to Jack and Jill, the way it is presented and most of the original manner, in which you deal with love. Normally poems that mention love are a bit cliched and trite not this one.

I really loved this
