                   a glow so steady dimming...

 

        in that light, never meant to last....

                      i,  again,  catch a flicker

      that brief hesitation -

           <  before the doubt
     shuts me out  >

      Draws the curtains...

                  <  your smoke
                                   and mirrors  >
           
                                   cloaked...in anger
                                   swathed...in fear
                                   drenched...in pain
    
           they grow....like a cancer....between us.....
