Song of the angels

Song of the angels

A Poem by Carissa Marie

Last night I heard the angels sing,
A sweet lullaby that speaks of your name.
They sang until in my sleep
I could dream of their voices.
'Hush', one of them said.
And I could feel my tears dry up in an instant.
What I wouldn't give to hear the sound of the angels -
Singing in chorus,
Comforting me with lies each night.
I wish you had done the same.
Lied to me over and over,
Until the lies became the truth-
And the truth of your love
Had become real.

Dear Carissa. I liked the thoughts and the visions create by your words.
"I wish you had done the same.
Lied to me over and over,
Until the lies became the truth-
And the truth of your love
Had become real. "
I liked the ending. Left the reader understand wish and hope. Thank you for the excellent poetry.
