Drill #9 (Let me cry for you)A Poem by Carissa MarieLet me cry for you. Let me wipe away the tears And the fears That the world has forced upon your eyes. The wounds they have inflicted, Give them to me, And let me feel. The rain have poured upon you for so long, While I sit on the edge of the rainbow Enjoying the pot of gold That was meant to be yours. How unfair it must be, To those whose lives and blood were shed While the world stood still. Let me hear your cries, And let me scream with you; Even though my voice comes out as a whisper For being sealed for far too long. I grieve for your little ones, Those angels deserved better than to have their wings cut And fallen from grace. Let me weep for you, Let me be the one to shed some tears this time For I fear the loss of humanity. While you have lost your lives by force- It was the world that's lost its soul.
