WindblownA Poem by Carissa MarieI had barely touched your face, When the wind blew you away. Your beauty, nothing but a memory Passing through my fingertips As I tried to keep grasp, But couldn't. In my mind you kept turning backwards, Like clocks winding counterclockwise Going back to that place where you existed. You were a scent I tried to chase, But all that's left were traces- Too scattered and erased, To be found. But in this cold September night, I dream of you. When two Autumns have passed, And the winds had blown you far, Still it's you that I long for.
