HallucinationsA Poem by Carissa MarieThey say that before death comes over, hallucinations are experienced. Vivid pictures of memories are seen, Clear voices and real conversations resurface, And past moments are relieved. ... I sometimes see you in the most random places. In dark corners like those places where we used to hide, As our lips touch and our bodies move as one. In broad daylight, as people walk around purposely, Your face would just magically appear - Smiling your crooked smile, reminding me to take things slow. I hear your voice in the loudness of the thunder, Making me feel as if you are laughing beside me - Comforting me as I wait for the storm to pass. I hear you in the bird's song, As I wake up every morning. You sing to me sweet melodies, And it takes me back. It takes me back to you. ... They say that before death comes, hallucinations are experienced. I'm starting to believe that this is true, Because when you left - I began to get hallucinations of you.
